What does it mean to live green?  In today’s society, we have learned that some products that we use in our homes are toxic to the outside environment and unhealthy for our indoor environment.   We are also concerned with our mental and physical health.  In order to live the fullest life possible, we urge you to consider what products you use and what their effect is in a larger context.  Here are some things to think about:

Health and fitness:  Regular physical activity is important for your overall health and well-being. Being active for 30-60 minutes on most days can help you build strength and fitness, relax and reduce stress, gain more energy, and improve your sleep. Include activities that you enjoy and can easily fit into your daily routine—such as walking your dog, working in your garden, or riding your bike.

Turn off your TV!  Meditation and yoga offers a balanced life and allows a welcome respite against everyday pressures from work and family responsibilities

Personal care:  make up, hair care products, cosmetics, moisturizers, sunblock, deodorant, insect repellant, tooth paste – there are plenty of organic, non chemical products available.

Most mass-produced products use synthetic chemicals.  Is it safe to rub these chemicals on our bodies?  Could this be what is causing rashes or headaches?  When you use spray cans or mist producing fragrances, more of the chemicals fall to the floor than under your arm.  Is it healthy for your child to then crawl on the floor and put his hands in his mouth?
