Be a Destination!

The Green City Challenge Race of 2011 will privide a great oportunity to showcase your green business. New Yorkers will come into direct contact with your business and learn about it through word-of-mouth and media coverage of the event, as well as through exposure on our year-round website.

By making your business a destination, you are not only supporting the advancement of New York’s green community, but spreading the word of your own green efforts.

We are seeking businesses and non profits specializing in all aspects of living, eating and working green, from fitness and health, to energy efficiency, to vegetarian restaurants and local organic gardens.  Our challenges are tailored to the businesses and destinations where they take place.

We are looking for eager and upbeat volunteers to help us make a difference in NYC and beyond! We are seeking committed volunteers for the following opportunities:Writers - research and write content for website or guest blog
Website support- update website content and manage online media
Community relations – outreach, primary day-to-day point of contact with nonprofits and community groups
Events support – participation in fundraising events
Social network  coordinator – maintain social network pages
Outreach  – tabling at community events in NYC
Annual Event – logistics / event planning
Whatever you like to do or are good at we could use you.
